Good location to stop over for short stay and trip into city of Winnipeg

For several years now our family has camped at Coombs Country Campground and loved it. This year however we were a bit disappointed. When we all arrived we were told the pool was shut down and hopefully would be fixed in a couple of days. We understand breakdowns happen BUT why in heavens even after it was open again was the hot tub barely warm. Even the next day the hot tub wasn't warm enough for the adults. The children loved it because it was warmer than the pool :). Fingers crossed for next year.

This is an old campground but it has everything. The pool was very popular on a brutally hot day. The bathroom at the pool (the only one in the campground from what I saw) could have used a tidy but it was sufficient. The dog park was incredibly huge and my corgis had a blast. There are many walking trails around (there are bears!) and they have free bike rentals for getting around as the campground is pretty expansive. The pull through sites were good. Definitely recommend for families.
