Had a short stay in the RV park while driving across the island. The price seemed reasonable ($45 for a site with 30A power, water and grey water onsite), and the fact that you have two different waterfronts on the property for two different lakes is pretty cool. I just wish they had at least one flush toilet facility there... But at least the vault toilets didn't smell badly compared to other RV parks we've visited! Also, they need to cut a path in the woods from the RV sites 211 to 213 to the closest vault toilets, rather than having to walk down the road so far to the stairs leading to the
Backside Pond RV Park I can't recommend it enough! This place is pure Newfoundland magic—nestled right between two beautiful ponds and steps from Trinity Bay, with the ocean breeze and stunning coastal views that make you feel like you've stepped into a postcard.
The big pond is perfect for swimming (that fresh water beach is so refreshing!), fishing, tubing, kayaking, or just lounging by the water. We spent hours paddling around the smaller pond in canoes too—super peaceful and family-friendly. The boardwalk trails down to the ocean beach are a highlight; easy walks with breathtaking scenery,
Great family friendly campsite with many different site options to fit your needs. They also accommodate rooftop tents. Staff were friendly and sites are clean and well maintained.
