Brannen Lake RV Park & Campsite — Nanaimo,

We recently stayed a weekend here and nothing but a great experience! Very family friendly! We used the provided washrooms and they were always 5/5 clean and stocked. Our site was private, spacious and clean. We were also located close to the walking trails which was such a great addition for us with our dog. The kids loved the parks and were never bored/tired of going, they loved that it was such a short distance from the site. This was an amazing find! So close to town yet we felt like we were on a rustic getaway. A bit of a walk to the lake but looks like a great place to hang out and swim on a hot day. The giant cedars create such great privacy and seclusion between sites. The office was well stocked with the standard essentials and treats. We needed a last minute site on Canada Day and they were more than willing to accommodate us without a mandatory three night minimum! Highly recommend.

I like this campground because the camp sites vary depending on your need. There's small sites for tent camping, mid sized spots for small RVs or trailers, and large spots for motorhomes and extended trailers (for example 42' footers). You can reserve multiple spots for larger groups, which is nice. Restrooms, showers, laundry facility. For the basic sites there are porta pottys. A short walk to the lake...Small private beach with a dock is pretty cool. Missing Wifi, so you need to find an alternate solution to connecting. But otherwise I will camp here again.
