The river was beautiful but the service was ugly. I understand that rules need to be enforced but this does not mean management and service needs to be outright aggressive.
During our brief stay, none of the staff seemed to be welcoming or bother to smile. I would recommend to work on that aspect of your campground. When booking our stay, we were looking forward to having a nice getaway but we were deeply disappointed and uncomfortable from the moment we checked in.
This review is not about the rules but how the rules are imposed. If you are thinking of booking this campground, don’t. It’s not
Nice location with some sites right along the river which helps drown out the traffic noise from the busy road right along the park. Older development but well kept grounds, showers, washrooms. Clean and neat throughout. Easy biking to the beach or town.
Sites are a resonable size, but well packed together. Our shoulder season trip (end of April early may) the campground was nearly empty. So the closeness of sites was not an issue. Nicely treed around the perimeter and scattered throughout. Sites are a combination of gravel and grass for RVs.
Kids play area, mini golf next door and a little on
Stayed here one night with an RV so can't comment on the rooms. The RV spots are very nice, quite well seperate from each other so pretty quiet and private. The facilities are great but the showers are paid to use which is a shame. The whole place is beautiful, lots of trees and shade, it even hs a small beach you can use to swim in the creek. So good we're staying here 1 more day on the way back.
