We loved highland pines! Unfortunately the weekend was pretty rainy but it’s a very family friendly place. My kids absolutely loved the playgrounds. The trailer sites are large, come with a dug out fire pit and a nice picnic table. They have a games building (pool tables, darts, air hockey, ping pong) as well which is so cool and nice to have, especially when it was raining. We unfortunately were not able to use the pool or splash pad because of the weather but the splash pad was on and super nice. My son forgot his water bottle at the park and the maintenance people found it and called us to

First time at this resort. Definitely impressed with the size of the transient sites and even though the location is nowhere close to the lake, it's really close to the river. The view is great and lots of places to walk our dog. However it should be noted, that apparently dog owners of the seasonal sites don't keep their dogs on leashes. We have had several encounters with dogs that are running loose beside the owners in golf carts and the dogs are not leashed. I guess that's how they walk their dogs. Unfortunately when they see our dog, who is leashed, it can turn out to be an unwelcome enco

Seasonal and travel services for trailers. Access to Bellwood Lake, pool, playground, organized activities and docks for boats. Staff are always helpful. There are no on-site food services but a restaurant and variety store are only a kilometer away. Try the butter tarts at the variety store made in abundance daily.
