Lunenburg RV Park & Campground — Nova Scotia

This RV park is up the hill from the old city. The office/welcome center has very helpful staff. There are an upper and lower part to the campground. We were in the upper section, which has open, fully supported sites and easy access to the clean bathrooms. The lower section seemed more difficult to manage. There is no laundry facility. There is easy biking/walking access down a couple of short roads to the Back Bay Trail, a multi-use trail that leads to the Bay to Bay Trail after a bit on a roadway. One can easily walk into the old town (a UNESCO Heritage Site) and find restaurants and shops,

The campsite has a great location for exploring Lunenburg on foot, with the Waterfront being about a 10-minute walk away. The campsite staff were very flexible when it came to extending our stay. The toilets and showers were clean. If the shower area overflowed, the staff came and cleaned it after being informed.

Five stars for location as you can walk into Lunenburg Sadly reserved a full hook up spot for our travel trailer 9 months in advance for four nights and when we got there the site had only a sewer hook up on opposite side it usually is plus it was so far in the ground you would have to just dump it in the hole as you could not put a fitting in a deep hole. When we asked to be moved they said never ever had a complaint ever. So we are now paying for full hook up but will have to empty at dump station. One person even said just drive in so trailer sewer hookup on same side apparently not underst
