Lyons Park Haven — Buford, Ontario

Nice campsite and public docks had great access to the water. Wayne, who I believe is like the supervisor/grounds keeper there, was a huge help and very nice. Helped us place out trailer and gave our truck a boost when it died. We only stayed for a weekend so we didn't have a huge lot but it was perfect for a camper and a tent, with room for a fire and both vehicles to park. Was a nice place to visit my friends and family for the past 10+ years. It's sad to hear about all the hardworking, dedicated employees getting fired without a valid reason and campers being threatened to have a police escort out of the park and getting banned just for voicing their concerns and complaints. The new management is on some kind of power trip. I'm guessing there won't be any waiting list to get a spot at this park like there used to be.

Camped here for 16 years. It's a nice enough park, but every year they increase lot fees while putting $0 back into the park. This year, the lot fees are roughly $4,700 per year. The only park events are run by a committee whose only funding comes from a 50/50 raffle every weekend or other fundraisers — the park itself doesn’t contribute. Last year, they fired the old manager, and a new "manager" took over. If you need anything, she won’t have answers for you; you’ll have to wait until she asks Pam.
