As a tent camper, my first choice in Kelowna would be Bear Creek Provincial Campground, but that was fully booked up. However, I was very impressed with the tent sites at MacDonald Acres. The tent sites had good privacy, beautiful views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake, and decent bathroom/shower facilities. The campground operator, Aimee, was very friendly and helpful. We had friends staying in a trailer in the RV section at the same time and they were satisfied with their setup. The location on the east side of town also worked well for us. We had booked a trailer spot at this delightful campground early June. Our car broke down along the way. We arrived that evening, via towtruck. Aimee was very helpful in sorting out everything, including giving us a ride to the car rental. It was a delight to stay an extra day, waiting for our vehicle to be fixed. The grounds are lovely, Aimee and her staff work very hard, the view is gorgeous! It was great being at the top of the hill just south of the city, but only minutes into the city. We have already recommended MacDonald Acres to friends and family.
This was our second time at this beautiful campsite, and we managed to get a pitch on the grass at very short notice. We had a wonderful view from there. Aimee and her family were very welcoming, and we hope to see them again. Ute & Rolf from Germany
