The lodge is not a modern building, but the rooms are comfortable and clean with everything you might - coffee maker, fridge, TV, etc. What really sets the Mavillette Beach Lodge apart and makes it deserving of a 5 Star review are the proprietors and the location. The people who run the hotel are warm and welcoming - it's very genuine, not practised and rehearsed. Once you've checked in, you can relax by sitting outside your room in one of the Adirondack chairs and looking out over the water. And, yes, as I was told, it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen.
