Quilchena Point RV — Merritt, BC Campground

Beautiful fully serviced camping 15 minutes from Merritt. The wind off Nicola Lake can be an issue if you don't like windy campgrounds. The breeze picks up around 10am and gets stronger from there until sunset, other days the wind never stopped. The inside of our RV felt like we were riding on a BC ferrie. Your awning will need to be closed. General store (open 9am-6pm) is a 1 minute drive away, pay per device WiFi is available at the campground. The campground locked with code washrooms and shower are top notch and sparkling clean. Very nice grass at each campsite, bring you Bocce balls.

This is a well run, tidy campground. The shower/bathroom facilities were spotless. The place is half empty at this time. Wicked winds blowing the lake with whitecaps yesterday afternoon and this morning. Power hook up and potable water , sewer at every site available. Internet is extra.

Blue Green Algae Warning I booked into the park 2 days before our arrival and I specifically asked if they were dog friendly. They said that they had lots of space and they weren't sure why they weren't very busy. They also said that they had a dog park and were very happy to have dogs. The RV park was almost empty, and we found out why within minutes of arriving. The host told us 2 dogs got into the lake the previous weekend and died. Vets thought it was likely due to the algae. I was so mad because this was not mentioned when I booked. It feels like she had every opportunity to tell me abo
