Had an excellent long weekend with friends “roughing” it out. Amenities were fine, the store was quaint but always had what we needed, the activities were excellent, and the grounds are fun to explore. Although we did have to macgyver a grill out of smores makers and metal skewers because we forgot one.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this campground!
The sites were spacious, clean, and ours in particular was perfectly shaded with mature trees.
Our kids loved the playground, pool and evening campfire programs.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—always smiling and quick to assist.

I want to respond to some of the negative reviews I’ve read about Shangri-La, because my family’s experience here was completely different. We came to Shangri-La this summer while we were looking for a new home in Niagara. We thought it would be fun to camp with our kids while we searched. We rolled in late at night with our old, beat-up trailer, four kids, a dog, and a cat. By morning, we were definitely noticed!
