The views over the bay were beautiful and there were lots of seasonal events planned for families. Seasonal campers and were very friendly, but the staff was hard to locate to get signed-in as the office appears to have been used for storage for years. Bathrooms were functional but homemade with a warning for the potential of foot injuries in the showers. Tenting sites had some of the best views, but no cover or trees, and there was no running water in the kitchenette made available for dish washing. Definitely better for seasonal and trailer campers.
This is a wonderful place to watch the sunset, as the name already suggests. But you can also watch seals laying on rocks during the ebbtide and occasionally a Bald Eagle 🦅 fishing in the sea.
There is a small bakery nearby (2,5km) which offers breakfast and is selling good bread, cake and rolls.
If you travel with little children, the playground will keep them busy all day. There is a bathroom which appears newly renovated and is nice and clean.
One could be swimming in the sea, but not in May.
The campground host and his wife are the most friendly people you can imagine. If You are looking
Great views of the ocean but absolutely no privacy.
Showers are a bit sketchy. The person I dealt with was very nice. Was a quick one night stop and was rainy and cold. Would have enjoyed more with better weather.
Saw some seals!
