Amazing stay, beautiful view and well kept grounds. Friendly staff, very organized check-in and gate system. Security very friendly and reasonable. I am taking away a star due to the bathroom situation. I was honestly expecting better, especially from a campground that charges a premium price (over double other campgrounds in the area). Kind of petty to charge 0.25 cents for 4 minutes in the shower, but not a big deal, what is 25 cents anyway, I understand it's to conserve water and off set somes heating costs, they did have great hot water and pressure. Twin Shores has been our favorite campground in the Atlantic provinces for the last 10 years but I don't think we will come back for a while. None of the campground rules have been enforced while we've been here for the last 4 days (more people driving bikes without helmets than with, many bikes being driven after dark without lights making it dangerous to walk around, folks openly drinking alcohol all over the campground when it's supposed to stay at your campsite). The campsite beside us had a dog barking in their trailer from 11pm-12:10am. It's advertised as a "family campground" but I don'

You know you found the right campground in PEI--perhaps in all of eastern Canada--when even a cloudy, rainy week remains memorable (3) years later. We stayed sound-side and loved the quiet and sunsets while still easily walking or carting to the Atlantic side. We've traveled the entire eastern US/Canada and this ocean-sound setup is rare and worth it! This and the well-documented amenities will have us back to Twin Shores in a heartbeat as we plan our next trip to PEI. Tangentially, if you are on the island and the East Pointers (modern folk) are in town, find them!
