Villa Maria Camp — Greater Sudbury, Ontario

Very beautiful campsite. Parking on green lawn. Very nice, talkative and kind host. I have no idea why this site was so empty, and another campsite in the beginning of the same road was so crowded. But I surely like to stay in Villa Maria, it was more quiet, and more green around me. However, shower room is the weakest part, the light was too dim ( I usually have shower just before sleep🤪)and room was a bit rough. I recommend the host should add online reservation or at least WhatsApp for instant communication for the people (myself as well) who have no local telephone number

What a great campground. Very clean, quiet and family oriented. The grounds are very well kept with spectacular views. The lake is quiet, so I felt very confident taking the kayaks out. In the evening father Peter starts a common firepit, which gives us an opportunity to meet other campers. You can also bring your tent or rent a cabin. Father Peter has a big heart with a wobderful sense of humour. He goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay. This was our first visit and we're coming back shortly with friends. Peter, the manager was great. We made arrangements over the phone. We arrived to find the grounds amazing. All nicely mowed with new power and water hookups, picnic tables at the sites. The property is right on the lake ,so the views were great. Peter also has perogies for sale,that we’re delicious. The only reason I didn’t give it a five were the showers. There was very little water pressure and it was hard to keep the temperature consistent . Otherwise it was a great place to stay and I would go back again
